They covered a total of 27 miles and climbed a total height of approximatley 10,000 feet -the distance covered between mountains was 450 miles. all tis had to be completed within 24 hours! They started the climb of Ben Nevis at 5pm on Saturday completing it at 10pm - it was then into the car for the 5 hour drive to Wasdale Head. Starting Scafell Pike at 4am was a challenge as it was pitch black and after missing the path they had to scramble most of the way. They got back to the car at 8am and it was straight back into the car for the final leg. Reaching Llanberis after another 5 hour drive they rushed out the car and set off again at 1pm for the final challenge of climbing Snowdon! They completed their challenge in 23 hours and 30 minutes, returning to the car at 4.30pm. Lucy Jordan did the driving to Scotland, between mountains and delivered all the boys back safely! A tremendous effort by everyone and an amazing £1750 raised. Thank you to all those who supported them! Setting off for Scafell at 4am 23 hours 30 minutes completed!! |
