This page on the site is designed to let you know what is going on with the Foundation! We will aim to update this weekly with latest news as to what is happening with events, status of the Foundation, etc.

 

  1. As you may have seen, the Shopping basket is now live! You are able to go and purchase merchandise directly from this site, using a Credit or Debit card, and Paypal.  Please use this for your Christmas presents!
  2. The calendar... Seriously 2009! As you know this was shot on the 29th and 30th August at Valley House. A great time was had by all - although no guys were allowed near the house for 2 days! All of the girls enjoyed themselves, and there are some very good shots. this will be a calendar to challenge the Pirelli calendar in the future, without a doubt! The Calendar has received a great deal of publicity from the local media and is selling well. This is now available for purchase off our merchandisepage, along with tee shirts, hoodies and Polo shirts.
  3. The first Trustee meeting was held last weekend, the 29th November. At this the new Directors, and therefore Trustees were appointed and the current status of the Foundation was reviewed. Each of the Trustees was given a priority task, and goals were set for the coming year. In the afternoon the Management Committee met to discuss fund raising events for 2009. Again individuals were given priorities within the Foundation. The whole day was a success, and I am sure that everyone who is involved in the Foundation will be working well together for many years to come.
  4. The 10k Swansea Run! The organisation for the 2009 event is now underway!
  5. On the 11th December 2008 Student Officers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary will be selling mince pies to staff at Police Headquarters Portishead, kindly donated by COSTCO. ****They are not just ordinary mince pies!!!!****
  6. On the 24th January 2009 Student Police Officers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary will be packing bags for customers at Morrison's, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. If you are in the area why not go and give them your support!
  7. On March the 17th 2009, Avon and Somerset Constabulary are holding a 'St Patrick's Day' themed evening in Portishead, Bristol. There will be a live band, an auction and great raffle prizes to be won! More details will follow in the next few weeks, but this will be an event worth going along to!
  8. Organisation for the bike rides is now underway, with new rides joining daily! If you would like to join either of the trips you will be more than welcome. Please note that you can Pledge monies directly to an individual from the events page. Thank you for your support. More information on these will be available in the coming weeks.
  9. We would like to thank Steve Owen for his recent Golf Marathon. This guy completed 6 rounds at Wharton Park Golf Club in one day!!! I can assure you that after one round on Sunday, I have no idea how he did this?! Mind you he is a good golfer...! Steve raised over £1600 for the Foundation - a fantastic effort. Steve was out again on Sunday for the Captains day - as you can see he is looking suitably relaxed after the event in the bar... Thank you Steve!
