As part of their NCS social action project 9 students and their leader had a great day working alongside trainees in the Twigs project at The Emily Jordan Foundation during the last week of August.  The group were a joy to have as volunteers creating fun and laughter among themselves, trainees and staff as well as doing an awesome job stripping, hoe-ing and preparing a pretty sizeable flower bed along with potting plants with...

We knew we were off to the best possible start when the severe storm warnings hit for the night before, but we would have taken rain over sunshine for this any day, we needed mud! The course was really picturesque, over lots of hills (too many hills) and woods, and into muddy bogs.  Big thanks to Bear in anchoring the running and setting a steady pace, to make sure we got round, those 2 days training really paid off....

In August 2014 The Foundation entered a dragon boat, sponsored by CJ Media, in the Regatta in Bewdley. Each of the participants paid to join, to raise money.

A great time was had by all, including some of the guys with Learning Disabilities who were in the team and despite the torrential rain. And Team Em came a very close second on the day!

In July 2014 Chris and Alex Jordan walked up Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the Foundation.

It took 5 days to work up, with acclimatisation, and 2 to come down.

It was very cold at the top, - 22 degreesC, which with the lack of air made it interesting!

However it was a lot of fun - we are pleased we did it, whilst also raising £14k for the Charity.

April 3, 2013

In April 2013 Chris and Alex Jordan, supported by Paul Ravenhill, rode their bikes from Barcelona to Kidderminster.

Despite the challenges of the Pyrenees and a big crash near Perpignan, this was achieved to schedule in 2 weeks.

For the last 2 legs through England they were joined by a group of 5 guys - and finally in Worcester by 50 more people! A great time was had by all!

Alex raised another £15k for the Foundation.
