Supporting people with learning
disabilities to lead fulfilled lives
Pots is our ceramics, arts and crafts project led by Helen Humphrey. It is predominantly based around pottery, however, trainees are offered the opportunity to learn other crafting skills such as painting glass, flower arranging and willow work.
Pots provides the Trainees an engaging experience by being involved in the process of creating goods from start to finish, they can craft to their own ability level and learn transferrable skills at the same time.
Sessions at Pots are calm, interactive, meaningful and process-driven.
What we do
Trainees are supported by staff and volunteers and have the opportunity to work independently or in small groups, meet up with friends and develop a range of skills from designs to production.
The Trainees are hands-on learning about all aspects of clay such as how to handle and prepare the clay, how to roll, model, stamp and decorate. New crafting opportunities will be offered as we move through each season, using flowers, paints and other natural materials.
We make ceramic flowers, pots, plant markers, seasonal gifts such as Valentines, Easter and Christmas decorations and more. We have some talented volunteers who also create pottery items, all of which are are sold at The Shop at Brinton Park.
Try something new and express your creativity!
Come along for a free taster session.
Pots shares the Kidderminster site with Spokes and Go Green. If you would like to know more about Pots, please contact us.
